Description from the seller
925 Sterling Silver Masterpiece Ring – 1-of-1 Portrait of Mithridates, Great King of the Parthian Empire (Roman Era)
This extraordinary handcrafted ring is an exclusive 1-of-1 creation from the TIDA & Co. Heritage Collection, inspired by the majestic coinage of Mithridates, one of the most powerful and influential rulers of the Parthian Empire. His reign marked a golden age defined by strength, diplomacy, and cultural brilliance during the Roman era.
Meticulously crafted by a master Persian artisan, this rare piece is made from 925 sterling silver with a total weight of 16.99 grams. The workmanship is exceptional—each contour of the king’s portrait is deeply engraved, capturing the royal profile with remarkable clarity and dramatic depth.
Around the high-relief portrait appear the ancient Greek characters found on authentic Parthian coinage:
“ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΜΕΓΑΛΟΥ ΑΡΣΑΚΟΥ ΦΙΛΕΛΛΗΝΟΣ” = “Of the Great King Arsaces, Friend of the Greeks.”
Although Mithridates is depicted, Parthian kings traditionally bore the dynastic title Arsaces, honoring the founder of the empire.
