2023 Buisson-Charles "Santenots" - Volnay 1er Cru - 3 Bottles (0.75L)

The Buisson-Charles plot covers 27 acres and was planted in 1954. This cru benefits from an eastern exposure on a gently sloping hillside that is perfectly drained and very sunny.

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. They are sorted in the vineyard and then stored in crates before being transported to the fermentation cellar. Vinification is carried out regularly with 50% whole vines, or even more if the vintage allows it and the stems are perfectly ripe (mature and therefore brown). After maceration for about two and a half to three weeks, the must is pressed “pneumatically” and then aged in barrels for 15 to 18 months.

The color of the wine is a deep, brilliant ruby red. Its bouquet is characterized by notes of red fruits, undergrowth, and fine spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and very well-structured, with beautiful freshness and good length.
