This 2025 hand-signed giclée by Sato Hageshi, edition 4 of 10, fuses ukiyo-e with pop art in The 7-Eleven Kaiju, a dynamic limited piece on heavy gloss paper.
Description from the seller
This dynamic ukiyo-e–inspired illustration reimagines Godzilla rampaging through a traditional Japanese town at sunset. The creature towers over a 7-Eleven store, its massive tail and crystalline dorsal fins shattering rooftops and scattering lanterns. Cherry-blossom petals swirl chaotically through the smoky sky as buildings tremble under Godzilla’s weight. The contrast between the calm, nostalgic architecture and the destructive force of the kaiju creates a dramatic yet humorous scene, blending classic woodblock aesthetics with modern pop-culture references.
Technique: Giclée print on Heavy Gloss Paper Textured
Size: A3 format (29 x 42 cm)
Edition: Hand-signed by the artist
