Yojuro Stone Suiseki – Fuji-shaped viewing stone with a wooden daiza, from Japan; 1 item; height 4 cm, width 10.2 cm, depth 4.3 cm; fair condition; sold with stand; provenance Gallery/Antique dealer; 20th–early WWI period.
Description from the seller
A museum-grade Yajuro stone, shaped by nature into a perfect Mt. Fuji silhouette — a rare Japanese suiseki with exceptional presence.
Carved only by time and water, this naturally formed Yajuro stone displays a near-ideal triangular profile reminiscent of Mt. Fuji, a shape highly sought after among collectors worldwide.
The surface shows elegant veins of white and pale green, creating a dynamic landscape-like pattern unique to this stone alone.
Set on a handmade wooden daiza, the piece offers a commanding yet serene presence — ideal for bonsai display, tokonoma, or high-end interior décor.
Stones of this balance, proportion, and visual harmony are becoming increasingly scarce. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a piece that embodies the core aesthetic of traditional Japanese suiseki.
