AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Mixed media on thick paper (300 g/m²). The painting is signed on the back and on the front and is protected with a final layer of UV-protective varnish. It needs a frame to be hung.

It is shipped as shown in the photos, together with protective and archival materials. Shipped with a certificate of authenticity signed by the Artist.

The painting is part of the 'Lost and Found/Oggetti Smarriti' collection of works, created between 2023 and 2024.

Francesco D'Adamo was born in Siena in 1979 and grew up in Termoli. His first encounters with painting occurred during childhood through private lessons, but it was only after 2006, when he moved to Bologna, that painting became a constant and fundamental presence in his life and gradually turned into his main activity. The following years saw his first exhibitions in the city and participation in various art fairs and events across Europe and Asia. This first decade of artistic research drew the interest of collectors and art lovers worldwide and culminated in the important solo exhibitions Chimere (2017), Discanto (2018), and Dyssomnia (2019, Hong Kong). These initial ten years of work were compiled into the book 'Decade,' published in 2021.

His pictorial research is rooted in Italian informale and American abstract expressionism, with particular attention to an ongoing dialogue between visual and musical language. The mark and its rhythm, layered surfaces, a strong palette, and the use of different techniques converge into a lyrical image that is also deeply concrete.
