Cast iron umbrella stand / stick holder – Corneau Alfred, Charleville – Model No. 27 – France, late 19th century (circa 1880–1900)
Rare and elegant umbrella stand in solid cast iron, produced by the renowned artistic foundry Corneau Alfred of Charleville (France).
The piece is clearly marked on the front with the classic oval medal in relief.

It confirms origin, authenticity, and model number.
The umbrella stand features rich decoration in the neobaroque / Rococo revival style with Art Nouveau influences, typical of Corneau's production in the late nineteenth century. The front structure is characterized by an elaborate ornamental fretwork with vegetal scrolls, while on the sides there are two carved female figures supporting the upper part of the support.
The wide and heavy base, also finely decorated, guarantees stability and attests to the quality of the casting.
Ideal object for entrances, studies, classic environments, and collections of French artistic cast iron.
Conditions:
Good general conditions, consistent with age.
Beautiful original patina of the cast iron.
Normal signs of wear, no damage.
Integrated drip tray within the structure (as shown in the photo).
