A Jaeger Universal Geneve 296 manual chronograph in steel over 50 mm, with a clean white dial and a working start-stop-reset, dating to ca 1920–1925.

Top Jaeger chronograph from long bygone times with Universal Geneve 296 caliber. In very beautiful condition and functioning perfectly. Dated around 1920-1925.
Caliber: Universal 296, manual winding chronograph movement
Steel case of approximately 51mm excluding crown, in good condition, with light signs of aging and use.
Neat glass
White porcelain plate in very good condition, small flaw in the center just beside the hands.
Maintenance history and operation: the watch is running well. The last maintenance was in 2021. See photo 15 for an impression of the solid amplitude and accuracy. Remember that watches, like cars, require periodic maintenance every 4-6 years. It is advisable to perform a periodic maintenance before daily use.
Chronograph functions: start - stop - reset working, see photos 3 - 4 - 5 - 6. The central chronograph dial is no longer perfectly straight in shape.
