Wear and rubbing on the covers and spine, small losses at the head and tail of the spine, heavily worn spine, crack on the hinge of the second cover of volume I but still perfectly intact together, light to moderate foxing depending on the pages in the upper margin of volume I. Interior of volume II is fresh.

Second edition of the novel by Russian writer Ivan Gontcharov, originally published three years earlier in 1859. Four parts compiled into two volumes (complete).
