Adela Marchewka presents Zielony drzeworąk (from the series “Drzeworęków”), a 2023 original ceramic sculpture in clay with glaze, measuring 27 cm high, 18 cm wide and 15 cm deep, hand signed, originating from Poland, in a modern style.
Description from the seller
Ceramic sculpture in perfect condition, 27 cm high. Material: clay. Fired and glazed multiple times in an electric kiln. The shiny coating causes the sculpture to change colour slightly depending on the light (warm from the sun, cold in artificial lighting) and reflects the surroundings, as clearly shown in the photographs. It is worth noting that ceramics fired at approx. 1000 degrees Celsius can easily be placed outdoors – they are resistant to changing weather conditions.
The ‘Tree Hands’ series consists of organic creations born out of admiration for trees, bark, roots and ubiquitous rhizomes that climb wherever they want and nothing can stop their plant expansion. The same is true of this sculpture, whose form bends in response to rhythms moving in different directions. It is precisely in this apparent acceptance of disorder that the power of nature lies, which, although it follows winding paths, always finds the right direction.
The sculpture was created by Adela Marchewka, a graduate of higher art studies with a Master of Arts degree. After completing her studies, she explored the secrets of batik (wax painting) and attended the Open Academy at the Faculty of Sculpture of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She has participated many times in the National Ceramic Open Air ‘Azymut Chrzęsne’ and numerous exhibitions. She is a member of the Polish Association of Artists and Designers (the sculpture was presented on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of ZAP).
Shipping with tracking number. Package size - medium. The sculpture will be carefully secured and shipped in sturdy packaging within 3 working days. Personal collection is possible.
