From old vineyards between 40 and 80 years old located in the areas of Olmedillo, Roa, La Horra, Moradillo, Pesquera, and Peñafiel. All with different soil types. It matures in Bordeaux barrels for approximately 12 months in new French oak barrels.
TASTING NOTES
Intense cherry red in color. Very attractive on the nose. Complex and elegant. It presents a wide range of aromas, including the surprising freshness of blue flowers. Aromas of red fruit at its peak ripeness and subtle notes of toast, smoke, tea, coffee, and spices. On the palate, it is fleshy and fresh, with complexity and power. Fine and elegant. Silky tannins. Perfect balance between acidity and alcohol. Long-lasting finish.
SERVING
Pairs perfectly with Iberian ham and cured sheep milk cheese appetizers. Main courses of lamb, wild game and red meat. Any dark chocolate dessert. Serve at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC. Consume in moderation.
HISTORY
In Tresmano we know producing exceptional red wines goes beyond rules and methods. However, to obtain the best wines in DO Ribera del Duero there are certain fundamental conditions:
- Prioritizing quality over quantity. Our grape production, mainly organic, has a low yield—it has the lowest yield per hectare in the region.
- Combining expertise, experience, and intuition. Every vintage is unique; it requires understanding how to adapt to each harvest condition.
- And, particularly, using the oldest vine plants in DO Ribera del Duero.
To produce Tresmano wines we only use old Tempranillo vine plants—the characteristic Tinta del País or Tinta Fina from DO Ribera del Duero—that are on average 60 years old (never under 30) and, depending on the wine, vine plants up to 100 years old.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a recurring auction. The seal number(s) you see on the photos might differ from the one(s) on your bottle(s).
