Octomore 2010 10 years old Limited Edition Release 2021 - 70cl - 3500 bottles

A super heavily peated Single Malt whisky from the Bruichladdich distillery Octomore Distillery Exclusive 5th Limited Edition Release 2021 with a phenol level of 90.3 ppm was bottled at cask strength. Every release of Octomore is an experiment into what would happen if heavily peated malted barley was run through the tall narrowed neck stills of Bruichladdich. This 2010 vintage was filled into fresh bourbon and RDC casks and matured for 10 years. Only 3500 bottles were produced.

Octomore is the super-heavily peated single malt produced by Bruichladdich distillery, the most routinely heavily peated in the world. The whisky is named after the farm of the same name, located on a hillside north of the town of Port Charlotte. Having been traditionally an un-peated single malt due to the needs of its former owners for their blends, Murray McDavid were quick to diversify the Bruichladdich portfolio, also introducing the more lightly peated Port Charlotte and Lochindaal.
