Description from the seller
Hello, B-flat lovers. I have imported this clarinet and have thoroughly cleaned the pads and key mechanisms (they play with precision and the needle springs are adjusted). It is in excellent condition as I describe. You won't have any problem attaching your mouthpiece and enjoying it, just like with all the clarinets I offer in this great auction. For outdoor instruments, especially for modern music, I recommend a mouthpiece like Vandoren B40, Selmer 120-C85, Vito, BUNDY No. 3, etc... generally medium mouthpieces, from there upwards, with reeds between 1 and a maximum of 3 in hardness. That said, I want to emphasize that finding an American metal clarinet like this one, in the condition it is—both in appearance and adjustment—is not an easy task based on what’s available on the market. And to top it off, bringing it to its full potential is no easy feat. I leave it at that. There is only a slight wave in the bell and some small dents below, caused by previous repairs in the bell area, from removing dents but they are barely noticeable (see photos). You have to run your hand over it to notice, just by looking at the photos. Lastly, the original case lacks a handle but has three secure clasps. I should add as a personal opinion that since these cases are almost always made of wood, they can be sanded and varnished, or even have a handle from a wardrobe drawer attached. However, I will ship it securely, and any decorative touches are left to the highest bidder. Good luck with the auction, friends.
