This Blancpain X Swatch watch pays homage to the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, the first true diving watch.
The case and the crown in ice white Bioceramic. The word 'Swatch' is engraved on the left exterior side of the case. The metal dial is printed with multiple layers of color for a gradient effect. The indices, hour and minute hands, and the scale on the bezel are embellished with grade A Super-LumiNova for enhanced readability in the dark. The unidirectional rotating bezel in ice white Bioceramic and the biological-origin glass are treated with an anti-scratch coating.
The mechanical movement SISTEM51 is visible through a transparent sapphire glass and features a digital print image of the Antarctic Ocean and the mollusk Tritoniella Belli.
On the back of the watch, there are five short messages: PASSION FOR DIVING – LICENCE TO EXPLORE – OCEAN BREATH – PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE – AND IMMERSE YOURSELF.
The NATO strap is made from recycled material sourced from fishing nets recovered from the sea. The buckle and keepers are made of Bioceramic.
