In good condition, the bindings and volumes are in their original full red percaline, illustrated, with signs of use, wear on the headbands with some tears, rubbed corners and edges, smooth decorated spines with gilded titles, volume numbers, and ornaments, and superb illustrations on the covers.

Good interior condition, browning, works enriched with numerous illustrations both within and outside the text, including frontispiece and double-page spreads, texts in three columns, blue endpapers in good condition.
