Description from the seller

Amazing museum-edition print of Tête éclatée (1958) by Karel Appel (1921–2006) carries the copyright of Kunstmuseum Winterthur and the Karel Appel Foundation (2007), Zurich. A central figure of the CoBrA movement, Appel brought a raw, emotional intensity to his work, using vibrant colour and spontaneous, childlike forms to break away from traditional artistic restraints. His belief that painting should be an eruption of life—“an emotion full of truth,” as he famously said—is immediately felt in this dynamic composition.
