Description from the seller
Expressive Hutschenreuther vase from the 1960s, designed by Renée Neue, a significant designer of modernist design of that era. The vase displays the typical combination of clear, functional lines and experimental glaze aesthetics, for which Hutschenreuther ceramics of the Mid-Century era are known.
The model stands out for its unusual silhouette: a striking, wide-spreading vessel body with a flat neck, supported by a contrasting, dark matte foot. The glaze on the upper part displays a warm, lively spectrum of amber, honey, and terracotta tones, dynamically blending into the bright, natural-looking ceramic area. This color contrast gives the piece a modern, almost sculptural effect.
Renée Neue was one of the influential design authors for Hutschenreuther in the 1960s and represents forms and décors that reflect the design spirit of the Mid-Century Modern movement. Her work is highly sought after today among collectors of high-quality German studio ceramics.
A decorative and characterful object, ideal for lovers of Mid-Century design, for collectors of German artisanal ceramics, or as a special accent in a modern living environment.
The vase has no chips or cracks.
The goods are wrapped in padding foil and enclosed in bio-styrofoam within a double-walled carton for shipment via DHL.
