First collected edition of the works of Jean-Jacques Rousseau published in Geneva in 1782, complete with 24 volumes and 6 volumes of the Supplement.
In fact, three editions of the works were published simultaneously, with similar content: an in-4 edition, published slightly later; an in-8 edition; and an in-12 edition.

Includes: political works, Julie or the New Heloise, Emile or On Education, essays, plays and poetry, pieces on music, the music dictionary, confessions or memoirs, dialogues, pieces on various subjects, and a collection of letters, the supplement.

Ornate in volumes 17 and 18 (Dictionary of Music) with 18 engraved plates (5 + 13).

The entire set preserved in period bindings made of full marbled calfskin, with smooth, floral-decorated spines, gilt fillets and small tools, pieces of red and green leather for the titles and volume numbers, gilt initials, and marbled edges.
In good overall condition. The volumes are quite solid despite scuffs on the covers and cuts. Marred edges. Corners pierced or scuffed. Some heads trimmed. Minor leather wear and small missing areas on the second cover of volume I. Interior: yellowed paper with scattered foxing in all volumes, without severity. Well preserved nonetheless. Beautiful collection.
