Francesco Perucci, Funeral urns of all nations of the world. Verona, Francesco Rossi, 1646.
Second edition, revised and corrected.

In-4° oblong (23 × 17 cm). [16] ff., 146 pp., [2] ff.
Illustrated with numerous full-page copper engravings depicting funeral rites and ceremonies of ancient and modern peoples.

Complete copy in excellent condition. Paper of remarkable freshness, soft and very pleasant to the touch, with clear printing. Full brown calf binding from the period, spine with raised bands decorated with gold tooling and a title piece 'POM. FVN.'. Minor signs of use: small splits at the edges, rubbing, but overall maintaining appearance and solidity.

A fascinating baroque work, blending erudition and visual spectacle, a rare witness to funeral representations in 17th-century Europe.
