The Holy Crown of the ecclesiastical year
Series of 24 sermons for Sundays, from the feast of Pentecost until Advent.
Compose in Italian by Mr. Vincent Gilbert, Canon Regular.
And translated into French by Mr. De La Porte, one of the hundred Gentlemen of the King's household.
Volume Two
In Paris, at Regnauld Chaudiere, Saint Jacques Street, at the sign of the Euse of Florence.

This work fits within the spiritual literature of the early seventeenth century. It makes the liturgical year accessible between the Sundays of Pentecost and Advent. This French translation made the work available to the French audience.
Contents: endpapers (8); 520 pages; (64) pages.
Condition: very good; originally bound in parchment; spine slightly damaged at the top; parchment overlaps at the front and back; provenance on the flyleaf and above the table des sermons; tear in the title page; provenance also on the page after the title page; few signs of use and wear; good book block, fresh pages; the book has withstood the centuries very well; photos are an integral part of the description.
Size: 18 x 12 cm
The book is apparently very rare; I could find only one edition in Worldcat.
