Liturgical breviary belonging to the Ambrosian tradition, used in the Ambrosian Church, primarily found in Milan and the surrounding dioceses. The text was printed by order of the ecclesiastical authority, with the participation of Benedetto Odescalchi, cardinal and archbishop.
The author of the print, Beniamino de Sicutis, is also visible; he was an important Milanese typographer of the time, known for his liturgical publications.
The print is enhanced with a red and black header, typical of liturgical books from the period, and uses Old Gothic font for the texts.
