Today, Château Yvonne, managed by Mathieu and Stéphanie Vallée, is one of the best producers in Saumur, composed of 3 hectares of Chenin Blanc and 8 hectares of Cabernet Franc, spread over 28 small plots in three villages. Le Beaumeray is a great cuvée of the estate in red (plot of vines 60 years old planted on wind sands). It has become a great classic, that every Cabernet Franc enthusiast should have in his cellar. A domain in great shape and an icon in the making of Saumur to which the RVF has just awarded 3 stars
In 2020, Beaumeray shines: it combines a pulpy concentration, a radiant fullness, and a captivating chalky finale. The archetype of the great reds of the Loire that will last for a few decades.
