Description from the seller

This aquagravure by Corneille from 2001 is produced in a limited edition of 57/60. The work is in good condition and has never been framed, which has kept the colors and paper beautifully bright. Corneille's characteristic style — with his expressive lines, vibrant use of color, and playful motifs such as women figures, birds, and symbolic forms — is particularly clear in this technique. A powerful and collectible piece from his later period.

An aquagravure is a graphic technique that combines deep print (engraving/etching) with hand-applied colors in a watercolor-like process. The result is a print with:

Rich, deep structure through the engraved or etched plate.

Soft, picturesque color patches that are often applied by hand to each print.

A more luxurious, more artisanal appearance than a standard print.
