This ceramic double-pawed Maneki Neko money bank is believed to have been produced in the late Showa period (around the 1970s–1980s).
A cat with both paws raised is considered to strongly invite wealth, business success, and prosperity, making it especially popular for store displays and opening celebrations.
The base features the characters “億万両 (Oku-man-ryo)”, symbolizing great fortune and abundant prosperity.
The front bib is decorated with the character “福” (good fortune) and red sea bream motifs, representing happiness, richness, and good harvest.
A coin slot is located on the back, and a coin retrieval opening is on the bottom (the lid is missing).
