Description from the seller
Original advertising poster (offset) dating from around 1950. A young couple in typical Fifties attire happily enjoys a freshly tapped EKLA pilsner in a flute glass with a fresh foam head. A pleasant scene that lifts your spirits and immediately makes you crave / thirst for this delicious Belgian pilsner.
Print: Max-Massart, Brussels H.R.B. 91159 on behalf of the advertising agency McCann-Erickson Co.
At the bottom right, the authentic tax stamps: Belgium 40 C. (entimes) and 'especially to be sealed'.
Condition B+: some signs of use, a closed crack at the bottom of the edge. The image is entirely intact.
Shipping: rolled in a sturdy tube with Bpost track & trace or Bpost International.
EKLA Super Pils was a product of the former Brouwerij Vandenheuvel in Molenbeek, which closed in 1974. It was one of Belgium's largest breweries. But there is also good news. The Belgian homebrewery Brasserie L'Imprimerie in Ukkel (Brussels-Capital Region), founded in 2003 by Guy-Philippe de Ribeaucourt, son of the last owners of Brouwerij Vandenheuvel, is working to revive the beers of its ancestors. The recipes of the current beers Ekla Super Pils, Stout Vandenheuvel, and Double Export are based on the 1845 recipes of the old brewery, but are now brewed using top fermentation.
