Antique hammered copper sputacchiera – Italy, late 19th / early 20th century

Elegant spittoon made entirely of copper, consisting of a main rounded body and a wide upper bowl with a curved rim. Its shape is the classic design of spittoons from domestic or public environments of the late nineteenth century, characterized by a stable base and a wide opening to facilitate use. It features a side handle in the form of a ribbon attached with rivets, typical of the handcrafted craftsmanship of the period.
The surface features a natural patina consistent with age, with slight oxidation and signs of use that enhance its historic charm. The construction is solid and entirely hand-forged. Decorative object, sought after by collectors of vintage tools and copper accessories.
