La Torre de Arínzano, Tempranillo x3 & 2021 Merlot 'Agricultura Biologica', 6 bottles of 0.75 L, Spain, Navarre, D.O.P. Pago de Arínzano.
Description from the seller
Located on the banks of the Ega River and surrounded by oak and poplar forests, lies the impressive Finca Pago de Arínzano, a protected area that provides a rich natural and architectural habitat.
The winery entrance, designed by renowned Spanish architect Rafael Moneo (Pritzker Architecture Prize winner and 2012 Prince of Asturias Award for the
Arts), serves as inspiration for Arínzano's identity.
The Winery
This unit encompasses the estate's three buildings: the 16th-century Cabo de Armerías Tower, the 18th-century Mansion, converted into a living space, and the neoclassical church, built in the early 19th century and dedicated to Saint Martin of Tours.
Tempranillo with the strength and grace of time and land
For almost 1,000 years, Arínzano has cultivated the mystery of Time and Nature. Located in an incomparable valley, magnified by its microclimates, stone, earth, and water create an exceptional terroir conducive to the singular expression of three great wine varieties.
Complex by definition, yet capable of expressing the full potential of the Merlot variety in its maximum splendor. Four different elaborations in a single great wine, which includes the foot-pressing of the grapes, the fermentation of frozen berries in vertical tanks using the traditional punch-down technique, and 18 months of aging in French oak. Thus, it stands out for its notes of red and black fruit along with some well-integrated balsamic nuances over others of chocolate and pastry. Very elegant, delicate, frank, and, ultimately, a great wine.
