Vol 1 begins with a introduction to the lichen-plant, followed by detailed accounts of each species, and vol 2 continues to form a complete account of every lichen found in the museums collection.
Each volume ends with a number of b/w plates, with 71 in vol 1, and 59 in vol 2.
Condition:
Bound in dark green hardboards with gilt lettering to the spines. Bumped to the heads and tails of the spines.
All boards firm. The binding is pulling in vol 1 at page 144/145 and at plate 18, vol 2's binding remains tight throughout. Pages clean. These books are in very good overall condition.
