‘Besides the Orange’ confronts the viewer with a paradox: an intensely green figure, hands raised to the face, blocks the view with a glowing orange band. The background, saturated with citrus tones and urban graphics, pulses like a visual noise — a scene that is both vibrant and oppressive.

The character's gesture suggests isolation and disconnection, but also resistance to the invasion of the gaze. The orange band becomes a border and filter, delineating what is allowed to be seen and what remains protected.
