Description from the seller

Villeroy & Boch.
Impressive and rare large-format enameled ceramic plaque, decorated with a historicist scene in Renaissance style. It depicts a knight carrying a flag, on which the monogram V B (Villeroy & Boch) appears, accompanied by rich vegetal motifs and a ribbon with the inscription in Gothic German:
Clear your mind of worries, do not think about tomorrow.
Closed between 1880 and 1910, during the height of the Gründerzeit era, this type of decorative piece was typical of aristocratic and bourgeois interiors in Germany and Austria.
Numbered piece, framed in antique wood. It is in good overall condition; the frame has been recently treated against wood-boring insects.
The highlights
Only one other identical plaque is known, embedded in a table at the prestigious Książ Castle in Walbrzych (Poland), the former residence of Prince von Pless. Documentary photos are included to prove its rarity and historical connection.
Approximate dimensions (including frame):
Marco 66x45cm, plaque approximately 57x37cm
An exceptional piece, ideal for collectors of antique ceramics, historicist decorative art, or Central European memorabilia from the late 19th century. Its rarity and provenance make it a highly valuable object both culturally and aesthetically.
