John Galt (1779-1839) was a Scottish novelist, entrepreneur, and political and social commentator. Galt has been called the first political novelist in the English language, due to being the first novelist to deal with issues of the Industrial Revolution.
The Lives of the Players is a collection of biographical sketches of English actors, written by the Scottish author John Galt and first published in 1831. The book was published in two volumes and features biographies of prominent performers, including Nell Gwinn, Charles Hart, and Mrs. Siddons.
Condition: See all photographs as part of the condition. Some wear externally in line with age but overall good .
