Zenith

The watch manufacturer Zenith International in Le Locle was founded in 1865 in Switzerland on the initiative of Georges Favre-Jacot as 'Fabrique des Billodes'.

Rare collector's watch by Zenith in stainless steel case, good condition.

Year of manufacture of the watch around 1940.

Caliber 136 probably the first movement caliber with a double pusher chronograph - made by Martel for Zenith and Universal.

Original dial. Fine appearance - two-tone. Arabic numerals - black with an outer minute track featuring intermediate Arabic 5-minute markers and a seconds track ending. Telemeter and base scale are on the outermost edge. Small seconds with blued hands at nine o'clock. 45-minute counter with blued hands at three o'clock. Gold-colored spear hands and blued chronograph hands in the center. Marked ZENITH. Beautiful condition - externally aged patina.

Work caliber 136 (engraved in the movement) - marked ZENITH. Gold wheels, chatons, and a screwed ruby jewel bearing. Very beautiful original condition of the movement - a very fine caliber from Zenith - first assembly from 1930 - rare and sought after.

Pressed back cover. Outside smooth - inside ZENITH company stamp ACIER INOX 8342771.

The watch is in very beautiful original condition. A beautiful collector's watch made of steel.

Watch size: 32mm without crown. With crown, 35mm - weight 35.3g.

Black leather strap - 19 to 13mm. Length with watch: 23 cm. The leather strap will not be shipped to countries outside the EU.
