Heuer
The watch manufacturer Heuer was founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in Saint-Imier. In 1867, the company moved to Biel. In 1882, mass production of chronographs began, and Heuer received the first patent for a stopwatch mechanism. - entire company history on Watch Wiki.
Rare collector's watch by Heuer in 14K with original Valjoux 69 movement - Rare. Also called Baby Chronograph.
Top condition, original condition. Old, repainted dial.
Manufacturing year of the watch around 1950.
Beautifully repainted (restored) special dial - black - GILT. Signed HEUER below the 12. Arabic numerals and an outer running seconds/minute track with inner Arabic 5s. Two auxiliary dials. Small seconds at nine o'clock. Chronograph 30-minute counter at three o'clock. Hands and numerals are gold-colored.
Movement Kal. Valjoux 69 - movement in original condition - silver-colored with gold wheels.
Working movement - a rare caliber for collectors.
The case back is smooth on the outside — inside marked with squirrel hallmark 14K 0.585 353 in the shoe 1441065.
Watch size: 26mm without crown. With crown, 28.5mm. Weight 26g.
Offered with a black leather strap. Total length including the watch is 22cm. Strap width is 15mm. The leather strap will not be shipped to countries outside the EU.
The watch is in very good condition. Top collector's watch.
Women's chronographs are very rarely offered. A highlight for the wrist.
