Wassily Kandinsky
Wassily Kandinsky was a Russian painter and art theorist, regarded as one of the pioneers of abstract art. Born in Moscow, he spent most of his life in Germany and later in France. Kandinsky was a central figure of Expressionism and Abstract Expressionism. He developed the theory of the "Inner Sound" and believed that colors and shapes had the ability to express emotions and spiritual experiences. His works are characterized by vivid colors, dynamic shapes, and a free, spontaneous brushstroke. Notable works by Kandinsky include "Composition VII" and "The Blue Rider." He was also a co-founder of the artist group "The Blue Rider," which played an important role in the development of modern art. Kandinsky had a tremendous influence on the development of abstract art, and his ideas significantly shaped the direction of 20th-century art.
