Description from the seller

Here is a very unusual specimen from Tsumeb featuring an extremely rich mass of bayldonite (?) forming botryoidal aggregates, decorated with several short cerussite crystals.
At the back of the specimen, you can see small, lustrous deep green olivenite (?) crystals.

The yellow layer is not identified.
Possibly rare minerals from Tsumeb!

Ex coll. Rollet family (Lyon).
The Rollet family owned several mines in Madagascar since 1920, prospecting for new deposits, mining and exporting minerals for industrial uses (mainly phlogopite) but also gemstone roughs and collectable specimens. Founder Marc Rollet was a very early mineral dealer in France. The collection features many specimens of historical and systematic interest from Madagascar, as well as a variety of French and international classics from the last century.
