Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Two Cesare Pavese titles published by Giulio Einaudi, Ciau Masino (1969) and Notte di festa (1953), original editions with red cloth binding and dust jacket for Ciau Masino and illustrated cover for Notte di festa, both in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Lotto consisting of two volumes by Cesare Pavese published by Giulio Einaudi, respectively from 1953 and 1969, both in the publisher's original edition. The two titles represent two very different moments in Pavese's production, one youthful and experimental, the other published after the writer's death, documenting the stylistic and thematic evolution of the author.
Ciaù Masino (Einaudi 1969, copyright 1968) presents the illustrated editorial dust jacket and the original red cloth binding. The text originates from within the complete works of Einaudi and retains significant critical importance as a chapter of the author's early narrative works. The dust jacket shows normal signs of aging, and the volume is in very good overall condition.
Night of Celebration (Einaudi, 1953), with the original cover illustrated by a painting by Vincent Van Gogh, is a collection published shortly after the author's death and represents a significant testimony to the critical reception of his work in the post-war period. It is well preserved, with even yellowing of the pages and slight wear on the edges of the cover, with no missing parts.
Lotto overall in good condition, very interesting for collectors of Einaudi from the Fifties and Sixties or Pavese editions. The two volumes provide a coherent picture of the writer's work at two decisive moments and are increasingly sought after on the collector's market.
The input is a dash character, which does not require translation.
