Description from the seller
Wings of a Distant Farewell
The moon hangs heavy, a pale eye witnessing my stillness. I stand rooted in white linen, tracing the river’s silver ghost as it winds toward a horizon you have already crossed. Overhead, cranes stretch their wings in a slow, rhythmic departure. I do not call out. I only watch them carry the last of summer away, leaving me with the soft, unfinished ache of your absence.

* 100% hand-painted acrylic on canvas
* Signed on the back
* Stretched on wood and ready to hang

Pippo (born in Monza) is a contemporary painter exploring the terrain between solitude, elegance, and geometric abstraction, moving fluidly between realism and surrealism. He worked professionally as a graphic designer before devoting himself to painting full-time and settling near Lake Maggiore. Reserved and introspective, he writes privately and prefers his canvases to speak.
His imagery balances stylized figures with geometric order, often casting the human–animal bond in a gently surreal light. Frequently faceless to leave room for the imagination, his characters appear in elegant attire, poised within stark, modernist rooms. Sharp angles, measured negative space, and precise reflections create both boundaries and possibilities, inviting viewers to wonder what lies beyond. A restrained palette—black and white punctuated by decisive color—intensifies the mood, while staged light and recurring motifs, from a solitary moon to a glowing sun, lend quiet, cinematic poetry.
Grounded in the discipline of design, Pippo’s compositions fuse clarity and mystery, bridging realism and surrealism through clean line, calibrated color, and atmospheric stillness. From the calm of Lake Maggiore, he refines a language of elegant economy—using light, geometry, and silence to evoke stories of longing, memory, and contemplative grace.
