Elegant Savonarola chair by Italian carpenters in wood.

Made by hand in Italy during the second half of the 20th century.


This is an elegant chair, model 'Savonarola', foldable like a book, made of wood, with decorative shapes entirely hand-carved.


The term Savonarola derives from the name of Girolamo Savonarola (1452 - 1498), to whose time the chair of this type still preserved in his cell in the convent of San Marco in Florence, where he lived from 1482 until his death, dates back.
