Description from the seller

Gold runs across the surface and vulnerability becomes ornament. What has been broken makes us unique, wounds are woven into something precious, and the process of recomposition continues in its endless reaffirmation. This work wishes to be a declaration of identity, of existence, fragile yet tenacious, that always finds a way to sing again.

Third painting of the series "Resilience", inspired by the art of kintsugi, a vision of the world that starts from three basic realities, namely that nothing is eternal, everything is imperfect, everything is incomplete. Wounds are precious and every golden scar makes unique. Concept beautifully expressed in the poem "The Visitor" by Jung Hyun Jong

The arrival of a person is, in reality, a great event,
because his past and his
present
and also his
future come with him.
Because it means that the whole life of a person is coming.

Because he is fragile,
he has already been broken before,
his heart is coming through space
carried by the wind.

And if my heart can imitate the wind,
that long-awaited heart will finally be welcomed.

This artwork is made with acrylic colors on cradled birch wood panel. The edges are painted, and the signature is present on the left. The artwork is ready to hang and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The surface is finished with a double layer of water-based satin varnish, which makes it resistant to UV rays and the passage of time.
