Baccarat paperweight model nr 4865 A - Catalogue 1885.


Beautiful antique crystal paperweight by Baccarat of a sleeping 'putto' or wingless cherub. The 1885 catalogue shows 2 models, one of 11 cm and this larger version of 12,5 cm.

The paperweight is in excellent condition for a piece that has been produced 140 years ago.

There are absolutely no scratches, wear or other damage on the top side, but to be as critical as possible, the base underneath has normal wear for its age (no chips), one of the pearls on the sculpted border has the tiniest impact and there are 2 tiny flakes of ash (1 mm each) inside the crystal, an always possible side effect during the production process.

H 3,5 cm x 12,5 cm x 8,5 cm - 0,8 kg.
