Description from the seller
Tenuta Tignanello is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, on the rolling hills between the Greve and Pesa valleys. It extends over 319 hectares, with approximately 130 hectares of vineyards. Among its vineyards are two treasures: the "Tignanello" vineyard and the "Solaia" vineyard, which extend across the same hillside on soils derived from Pliocene marine marl with limestone and schist. They enjoy warm days and cool nights during the growing season. From these vineyards, Solaia and Tignanello are produced, two "Super Tuscans" renowned worldwide as two of the finest expressions of Italian viticulture. Tenuta Tignanello's vineyards are composed primarily of the native Sangiovese grape, along with international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
This historic Antinori wine, produced since 2011 with grapes from the Tignanello estate, is a classic. It is composed almost entirely of Sangiovese grapes, blended with a small amount of other complementary varieties. This wine is a full expression of the quality and elegance of the Sangiovese from these areas.
