"The Concipiente" is a wall sculpture by Francioni Mastromarino.

The work embodies the Creator Woman, capable of generating not only in the body but also in spirit and thought. In her, intuition is reflected, along with the ability to receive and transform, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of the world.
Her "nest," which inspires the hairstyle in the sculpture, is a physical and symbolic place where ideas, emotions, and relationships intertwine, becoming new beginnings. The name "Concipiente," from Latin con-capere, means "to take upon oneself" and "to understand": a double meaning that guides the inspiration of the work, reflecting on the feminine power to absorb, feel, and create connections between internality and the external world.
A four-handed work by Eleonora Francioni and Antonio Mastromarino, the piece originates from an artistic and human collaboration that has lasted over twenty years where artistic research is conceived in synergy.
Traditional techniques merge with a contemporary vision of form and symbol. The sculpture is made of acrylic resin mixed with rice husks (a byproduct of processed rice, enhanced as a resource and made durable), resting on a sheet of aluminum. The choice of materials embodies the authors' pursuit of tangible sustainability.
