Beautiful and significant work by the painter Costantino Rosa (Bergamo, June 17, 1803 – Bergamo, August 4, 1878), painted in oil on paper in good condition.
The painting measures 25x31 cm.
The frame is not original to the period.
Costantino Rosa attended the Accademia Carrara of Fine Arts and made his debut in Milan in 1833 with some 'views of composition,' primarily commissioned by clients from Bergamo. His favorite subjects include views of Bergamo, the Val Brembana, and the panoramas around Brescia and Lake Lecco; many of these are preserved at the Accademia Carrara.
