Estimated to be a very rare edition in Vulgar language of this selection of works by Cicero, which reprints the first four with Vendramin's 1528 translation and features Antonio Brucioli's (1487-1566) new translation of the 'Dream of Scipio'.
Works of Marcus Tullius Cicero translated into the vernacular language, newly printed and corrected. On duties. On friendship. On old age. The paradoxes. The dream of Scipio, Venice, Giovanni Dalla Chiesa Pavese, 1544.

Copy with cards in generally good condition, with the usual signs of use and age and moisture damage. Missing at the lower outer margin of the last card, with no loss of text.
18th-century binding in full parchment with gold title on the spine, well preserved. The front white endpaper is missing.
