Travel book of the Holy Land, which is a detailed description of all and every sea and land pilgrimage to the Holy Land, undertaken so far ... by water and land.
Besides the introduced and actual description of the entire Holy Land, Palestine.

Rare edition, first part (of 2). Printed in Frankfurt, by the publisher J. Saur for F. N. Roth, from the year 1609. Book size: 32.5 cm x 21.5 cm. With a woodcut title vignette and one text woodcut. Bound in a blind-embossed pigskin leather binding of the period, over wooden covers, without a book clasp.
Collation: 2 (instead of 4) vols., 875 pages, 5 vols.
Second edition of the collection, first published in 1584, enlarged by one report compared to this one. Without the continuation compiled by Roth (Part 2).
Condition: Good copy with signs of use, browned and slightly stained inside. First and last pages with minor wormholes. Title with handwritten ownership note, marginal tears, and fully rebound. Title verso and first page with old library stamps and deaccession stamp. The two dedication pages at the beginning are missing. The binding is slightly stained and bumped at the head, front cover with a few wormholes, clasps removed.
