Kit: The plastic parts (sprues), rubber tires, metal parts, and other components (including the driver figure parts) appear to be complete and remain sealed in their original plastic bags, making the kit unassembled and unstarted.

Decals: The original decal sheet is present and appears to be in very good condition, featuring the iconic Gitanes tobacco livery (for car numbers 25 and 26 - driven by Jacques Laffite and Patrick Depailler/Jacky Ickx).

Box: The original box is included, showing shelf wear typical of an item of this vintage, but the artwork is still vibrant.

Historical Significance of the Ligier JS11

The Ligier JS11 was a dominant force in the 1979 Formula 1 season. Designed by Gérard Ducarouge, it was one of the first cars to successfully exploit the ground effect aerodynamics, making it incredibly fast.

It was piloted by French drivers Jacques Laffite (car #26) and Patrick Depailler (car #25, initially), winning the first two races of the 1979 season (Argentina and Brazil).

The kit allows for the construction of the car powered by the famous Ford-Cosworth DFV V8 engine.
