Description from the seller

ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Sculpture of a seed person made with iron rods. The artwork explores the metaphorical relationship between humans and plants.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Since my childhood, I have had a passion for artistic creation. At the age of 13, I began my artistic journey working with scrap and recycled metal that I collected from workshops and factories. To this day, I continue my engagement with scrap metal, but I have also begun to explore new artistic horizons by experimenting with materials such as ceramics, wood and other recycled resources.

The theme of my works revolves around the relationship between humanity and nature. My artistic style is characterized by highlighting the innate and primitive qualities of the materials I use, a fast, intuitive and raw workflow. I am passionate about enhancing the rust of iron, the traces left by tools and the marks of fingers in clay, in order to value artisanal and human work as opposed to the mechanized processes of industrial design.

The use of recycled materials in my works not only represents a critique of the current management of our resources, but also seeks to present a solution through a more sustainable approach to art. These recycled materials become the tool through which I confront the artificial with the natural, questioning our role in the balance of nature.
