Three 0.75L bottles of Herdade do Pico Guadelim Alfrocheiro 2014.
Description from the seller
Lot of 3 bottles of Guadelim Alfrocheiro Red.
Always stored in a temperature-controlled cellar.
On the left bank of the Guadiana — scorching in summer and freezing in winter — runs the Guadelim stream. Its pristine waters successfully combat the dryness of the schist-clay soils where, among others, Alfrocheiro vines thrive, benefiting from the large thermal amplitudes, both annual and daily. Traditionally vinified separately to be used in blends, this year we encountered a wine of extraordinary quality.
Its garnet color, its aroma of aromatic herbs, dried fruits and red berries, with notes of eucalyptus and menthol, and its elegant, well-balanced palate, with a very fruity and refined finish and smooth tannins, made the 2014 production ideal to be bottled partly as a single-varietal wine, suitable for immediate enjoyment but especially for aging.
It should be decanted and served at 16–18°C.
