Large and rare standing vase by Otto Keramik from Germany, 48 cm high and 28 cm in diameter, dating to the 1960s–1980s, with the original Otto Keramik label and excellent condition with minimal signs of age and wear, foot with chips.
Description from the seller
Large and rare floor-standing vase from the Otto Keramik manufactory, one of the most significant German ceramics workshops of the post-war period. With an impressive height of 48 cm, this piece belongs to the particularly rare large forms, which were produced only in relatively small quantities. Characteristic is the elegantly organic silhouette with a slender shaft and a wide, outwardly extending bowl, clearly referencing the design language of the 1960s–1980s.
The vase displays the characteristic handcrafted color gradients and experimental glazes typical of Otto Keramik. The metallic-looking, iridescent copper-rosé tone combined with smoky gray shades gives the object a sculptural, almost modern studio art appeal. The original 'Otto Keramik' label is present, confirming its authentic origin from the traditional family business, which is still appreciated today for its craftsmanship and high-quality glazing techniques.
Due to its extraordinary height and distinctive shape, the vase is ideally suited as a statement piece and eye-catcher in both modern and classical interiors. A coveted collector's item from German ceramics history, it rarely appears on the market due to its size and rare decoration.
The vase has chips at the foot. (see photos)
The goods are wrapped in padding foil and enclosed in bio-styrofoam within a double-walled carton for shipment via DHL.
