Description from the seller
The woman you see is at the center of my artistic universe, as often happens in my paintings. Her face, painted with chromatic realism and attention to detail, expresses an austere and almost regal pride. Her eyes, a deep and penetrating blue, are the focal point, reflecting a soul that has seen and understood, establishing an immediate and profound connection with the viewer. She is not a smiling woman, but this emotional silence on her face is not passivity; it is inner strength and a form of contemporary mystery. I chose copper, a metal with a warm and oxidized color, to create a kind of organic crown that surrounds her head. These shapes, reminiscent of corals, flowers, or abstract formations, are three-dimensional. Copper captures light differently than paint, introducing an element of opulence and antiquity. Symbolically, this 'crown' can be read as the weight or glory of experiences, the 'golden ages' of life, or perhaps a reference to ancestral cultures. The lower part of the portrait transforms into an explosion of circular and oval shapes in shades of gold, brown, and white, strongly evocative of Gustav Klimt's style. This reference is no coincidence: Klimt's work is a hymn to the golden age, to decoration as essence, and to women as muses and divinities. The dress is like a armored mosaic, a second skin made of symbols and richness, which protects her and at the same time defines her. It represents her complex and layered identity. Stefania Ormas, an Italian painter, graduated in painting from the International Art School of Terni. In recent years, she has exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, such as at the Casa della Cultura in Navacerrada - Madrid, the Palazzo del Infantado in Guadalajara, the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid, the RED03 gallery in Barcelona, the Bernet Gallery in Barcelona, and Roccartgallery in Florence. Her works are part of private collections in Italy, Spain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, America, and public collections such as in the municipality of Gata de Gorgos in Spain.
The world it depicts is primarily feminine and does so with a careful and realistic eye, always capturing a poetic vein. Its style is a compendium of the most recent pictorial forms, maintaining a close connection to its figurativism with attention to the anthropology of the subject.
