Description from the seller
Guitar made by the former Casa Roca, in Valencia, Spain, it is a brand with a rich tradition and is pioneering in the early days of the Valencian school builders. It features a design and details characteristic of the brand. This guitar is larger (a normal size today) than those usually made by Roca, which makes this specimen exceptional and exclusive.
Woods
Solid Swiss spruce pine harmonic top with dense, uniform, marked, and straight grain, which is exceptional for the period in which it was made.
The sides and the back cover are made of high-quality solid mahogany, and the sides are cut in a very peculiar way that results in a natural beauty of the wood that is not usually seen.
The tuning fork is made of rosewood and is very well preserved due to the treatment it received at Roca's workshop.
The aesthetic construction details are fabulous; the side and front fillet, the rosette, all the details are very refined and beautiful.
The interior construction is very refined and meticulous.
The sound transports you to the time and place where it was made; it is an aged sound that preserves the essence of the instrument and Valencian culture. Being larger than a traditional Roca guitar, it has greater volume, brightness, and presence. It is suitable for any style and easy to use.
The condition is good, with no cracks or dents; the varnish is original, and the preservation state is exceptional. The fretboard is also practically intact. It shows typical signs of use for a guitar over 50 years old. There is a small opening in the fan cut, which is very common with the passing years in these guitars. The builders were aware of this issue, and the construction is designed so that it does not pose a problem, as there is an internal reinforcement right there, ensuring it remains stable and without any issues.
